Tint and New Brunswick Law

Section 238 of New Brunswick's Motor Vehicle Act requires at least 70% light transmission through treated front side windows. The 70% applies to the combined glass and film, so the finished window must still pass at least 70% of light. We do not advertise any film as road legal if the finished front side windows fall below that. If you are unsure what is allowed on your vehicle, ask us before you book, and see our tinting FAQs.

Window tinting pairs well with a ceramic coating or paint protection film: the coating or film protects the paint while the tint protects the interior.

Window Tinting FAQs

How much does window tinting cost in Moncton?+

Starting prices, plus tax: front two side windows in carbon film from $199, front two side windows in Ultimate IR ceramic film from $299, and a windshield sun strip from $90. The final price depends on your vehicle, so send us the make, model and year for an exact quote.

Is window tint legal in New Brunswick?+

Only within the limits. Under section 238 of New Brunswick's Motor Vehicle Act, treated front side windows must allow at least 70% light transmission. That 70% applies to the combined glass and film, not the film alone, and most factory glass already blocks some light, so the film you choose has to be light enough that the finished window still meets the requirement. We do not advertise any film as road legal if the finished front side windows fall below 70%. Tell us which windows you want tinted and we will explain your options.

What is the difference between carbon film and Ultimate IR ceramic film?+

Both reduce UV and heat and add privacy. Ultimate IR is our premium ceramic window film, designed for excellent heat rejection and comfort on sunny days. Carbon film is the more affordable choice.

Who installs the tint?+

Our tint installations are performed by an experienced installer with over 20 years of experience.

Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone, GPS or satellite radio?+

No. Ceramic film has no metallic layer, so it does not interfere with phone, GPS or satellite radio signals.

Why tint if I already have a ceramic coating or paint protection film?+

They protect different things. Ceramic coating and PPF protect your paint. Window tint protects the interior and the people in it from UV and heat, and adds privacy. Many customers combine them for complete protection.

How do I book window tinting?+

Contact us with your vehicle details and the windows you want tinted. We will discuss current availability and scheduling, then confirm your quote.
