Honest answers about how the services differ.
What is the difference between ceramic coating, paint protection film and rustproofing?+
They protect different things. A ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss, UV resistance and easy cleaning to your paint. Paint protection film is a thick, clear, self-healing film that absorbs rock chips and scratches. Corrosion Defence® rustproofing protects the metal you cannot see, such as the frame, seams and cavities, from road salt and moisture. They complement each other rather than replace each other.
Does a ceramic coating stop rock chips?+
No. A ceramic coating protects against chemical contamination, UV and etching and makes the paint easier to clean, but it is too thin to stop impacts. For rock chips on the front of the vehicle, paint protection film is the right tool, and many customers add a ceramic coating over the rest of the vehicle.
I just bought a new vehicle. What should I do first?+
Most customers start with paint protection: paint protection film on the front end and a ceramic coating over the whole vehicle, done while the paint is fresh. Rustproofing is then added before the first winter. Tell us what you drive and how you use it and we will recommend a plan.
Do coated or protected vehicles still need washing?+
Yes. Ceramic coatings and film make washing easier, but they still need regular, gentle washing to look their best. We go over aftercare when you pick up your vehicle, and manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer's terms.
Can I save by combining services?+
Yes. Qualifying ceramic coating packages and qualifying interior detailing packages earn 10% off Corrosion Defence® undercoating. Bundle discounts are subject to qualifying services, so ask us when you book.
Do you serve customers outside Moncton?+
